Overview

“My work is fundamentally about light, space and colour”

Born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1964, Lynne moved to Cornwall at the age of three when her family returned to the UK. She completed a Foundation Diploma in Art at Falmouth Art School, followed by a Degree in Fine Art at Cardiff College of Art.

Having now lived in Wales for almost 40 years, Lynne paints in their home studio in Cardiff.  She creates gentle compositions of everyday objects such as vases and teacups filled with the flowers she collects from her garden and allotment.  These ordinary items take centre stage in her paintings with the soft light of her studio casting beautiful subtle shadows across the canvas. These painterly and pictorial still life’s are full of light and vitality.

Lynne was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy in 2017.
